Oatmeal Curtains

Well today I accomplished something I don't think I have ever done before. I used power tools! And not only did I learn how to use them but I also used my newly acquired "skills" to hang hardware for my new curtains! This is a total first for me. And these aren't those wimpy power tools either... these are the big as my forearm, muscle building power tools that Jason has. So you can only imagine this took me pretty much all night long. But I got it done and they look pretty damn good!
We did end up getting the oatmeal pottery barn peyton drape curtains. They are a half linen half cotton mixture and they just give a whole new look to the room with their texture. It's hard to tell from the photos (because we had every possible light on) the exact color but its just lovely.

Love at first sight....

Saw this exquiste orange french knot bedding at pottery barn on Saturday and even Jason stopped dead in his tracks and loved it too!! You know I have to buy it when both of us agree on it!! The question is... guest bedroom... or master bedroom? Since we have yet to figure out any kind of color scheme for our bedroom it could work for a while.

P.S. Also loving the photo setup behind the bed!

Stemless and loving it

For my birthday my lovely sister gave me a ton of amazing glasses for wine and entertaining. My favorite of which are these adorable stemless glasses, that work for anything from wine, to mojitos, to disarrano and coke... just loveeeee them!!!!

image via me.... glasses via Pottery Barn.... wine via who knows because i drank the whole bottle and then threw it out

They only pretend to like each other...

Found the two buddies the other day hugging/wrestling around on the floor next to my computer....

Grass Cutting Time

Bought our first ever lawn mower this weekend... and of course Jason wanted to break it out of it's box and play with it as soon as we got home from Home Depot... however it was 8 o'clock at night and our neighboors probably wouldn't like that. So he had to wait till today... But check out our backyard full of grass (minus a few little bare spots).

Father's Day

For the dad (to 2 kitties!!) in this household:

Happy Father's Day!!

And for my dad... who will always live on in our hearts and souls... we miss you...
