How cute is this?!?!

Monkey Slippers

I found these on Uncommon Goods (awesome site) and then Steph also found them and loved them. I love monkeys for two different reasons. One being my best friend Ally and our monkey joke that goes back to my junior year of high school when we should have been studying for our math midterm... and the other is little Miss Madison.. who will always be the cutest monkey I have ever known. So this post is especially for them.

Hand Blown Ornaments

We are getting our Christmas tree this weekend! Jason and I have actually yet to have our "own" tree since we've started dating due to the fact that we've been traveling. So this year we are finally getting our live tree that we are going to chop down Sunday... providing it doesn't pour/ice/snow on us. I also started decorating my mom's house last night and I will take pictures and post them eventually. So tonight I've been in the ornament shopping mood and found these beautiful hand blown glass ornaments on Etsy sold by SolosGlass

New Years Shoes

I am not a big New Years Eve celebration kinda girl.. but if I ever had some where extra special to go to on that night I would totally wear these shoes by Christian Louboutin that just scream New Years Eve Party. Don't ask me what to wear them with though....

Sparkles

We all know how much I just love sparkly things! I found two sets of earrings that would be perfect for any dress up event... or anything else that could use a little sparkle..

Just realized how similar they are..... but who cares!!

Vancouver...

If I had only found this website before I left Seattle I would have made it a point to go up to Vancouver to visit their store! These are just a handful of things I love from The Cross Design. Pricey but just delightful to look at.

These vases are probably my favorite...

Pendants

While looking around somebody's blog (can't remember which one anymore), I found these necklaces/pendants on Elizaldi that are created using stamps from all over the world. When you buy the Mia you get two necklaces, one with two small saint and starburst charms and the second with the stamp pendant. Once you get one set of them you can just order the pendants. I love both of the ones from Greece (but I'm posting the one I love more) and the second one is from Italy (also beautiful!).

Flowers

Today I was in the mood to flower shop... what girl doesn't love a bunch of beautiful flowers?? A few years ago I found Organic Bouquet and sent my mom their lilies and 1. they were fabulous and 2. they lasted forever! Tonight I found these beautiful linen roses (hint hint!!) and also a very adorable star adorned Christmas tree...

New House

Jason and I went and saw the house yesterday and so much has gotten done in the last week it's incredible!! They painted, put up the crown molding and baseboard, installed the hardwood floor in the foyer and the flooring in the kitchen, powder room, and guest room, tiled the master bath, installed all of the cabinets, and we have the 1st layer of our driveway! Here are some pics..

Check out the driveway...

Holiday Ornament

I know it isn't even Dec. 1st yet.. but I'm already dreaming of what new ornaments to buy this year. For those of you who don't really know my mom, my obsession for all things christmas (including ornaments/trees) comes from her. We always had a live tree in the living room and over the years she has collected more and more trees and ornaments and now has enough to put one in every room of the house and then some. I found this lotus ornament on Smith and Hawken. One day I will have enough glass ornaments to do a whole tree in them with white lights.

Chandeliers

In the new house we get a chandelier for the dining room that we got to pick out. Unfortunately they only had 2 options.. silver or bronze. Since neither Jason or I are big bronze fanatics we obviously picked the "brushed silver", but we don't think we're going to be totally thrilled with it. So after searching around Restoration Hardware (I am totally in love with this store now) I found these two options...

I love the little lamp shades (which come in a variety of colors) and then the little crystal ball details.

This is probably a little more "formal" than what I'd want for our dining room... but I can't help but love it anyway

State Pillow

Found more pillows (I know my obsession with these is out of control but you are just going to have to deal with it) via Uncommon Goods that are embroidered with states.. and get this... they even have Delaware!!!

Paint

Found this blueish grey paint on Restoration Hardware .... thoughts??

Napkins

It was great being home again for thanksgiving. And it was even better to see most of my family in rare form. So in honor of them I found these napkins... which should pretty much sum up my family and how we spent thanksgiving or any major get together for that matter...
And the kids table was way better than the adults table!!!

Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving!!

This is the first time in 2 years that Jason and I have been home to celebrate with our family and friends. I hope everyone has a wonderful day with their families and that you all eat more than enough turkey and other goodies. I'm also posting some pictures from Plymouth Rock that Jason and I took last year when we spent Thanksgiving in Boston. Have a wonderful holiday!!

Bobeches

This post is in honor of my mother... who magically seems to know the actual crazy words for the oddest little things that she needs me to bring from her house to her house with Quill... yesterday it was bobeches. Now before I show you what exactly this is I will just let you know that I've tried for a good hour to figure out how to attempt to do the phonetics for you to say it on your own. But I can't do it.. don't try it.. just say whatever works for you. Just thank god your mother didn't say to you over the phone while you were at work that it is definitely not some kind of sex thing. Which was never even mentioned to begin with...

And they even come in holiday prints!!
Yeap that whole fancy word and the "its not a sex thing" talk from my mother is all for those stupid little glass candle doo-dads that keep wax from falling on your pretty table.

Kids Table

My mother told me the other day that Amy and Tim, Billy and his new girlfriend (don't know her name yet) and Jason and I would all be sitting at the "kids table" in the eat in kitchen while everyone else would be at the "adults table" in the dining room... just keep in mind that my youngest cousin Katie who is 9 years younger than me is sitting at the adults table! Anyway... in honor of being at the kiddie table... I found this adorable kids placemat at Pottery Barn Kids. Here's hoping the kiddie table is a lot more fun that those boring adults!! :)

Holiday Pillows

And the pillow obsession continues with some adorable christmas/holiday pillows from Pottery Barn

2 days till gobble time..

And just in case you think the gobble till you wobble cups weren't cute enough... Swoozies also has these.. which are equally just as cute and loveable. Maybe it's the weird eyes on the turkey... I'm not sure...

Pintucks

This beautiful pintucked duvet cover was found thanks to Steph on West Elm and we both just love it! I think she's going to beat me to ordering it, but she's promised to let me know how it turns out! I just love the simple pintucks against the white linen. I am a huge fan of classic white linens on a bed and this is definitely going to end up in my linen closet.

House

I figured since I'm on a posting roll I should probably post 2 of the most recent pictures of our master bedroom and a picture of the family room. They aren't the best angles... but at least you all get the idea.

More Pillows

Having a bit of a pillow obsession lately... love these blue and cream pillows (and the red too) from West Elm.. they even tie in with the blue theme I may do in the bedroom!

Gobble Till You Wobble...

In honor of the upcoming holiday (and a 4 day work week) I thought I'd post these cups I found via Swoozies which I just totally love and will one day get some....
I know I have lost my mind.... but seriously how can you not love the thought of gobbling till you wobble!!

Bedroom Ideas...

I have been obsessed (and this is an understatement) with thoughts of how to decorate our master bedroom. As of today I am leaning towards bluish grey paint colors with white (linens?) and maybe slight hints of chocolate brown as accents. So today while searching for colors I found these curtains, pillow, and rug from Restoration Hardware that could be close to what I'm looking for...

I can't take all the credit for the curtains though... since I first saw them in my friend Lauren's living room
