Bed accessories...

I LOVE these two pillows... seriously can I just drool on them every night?!?! They would go perfect with the ideas I have for a guest bedroom... Alas.. my broke ass cannot afford these lovelies.

*update... I wonder if there's a way to make something like this... but I guess that would require me actually knowing how to sew... or even better.. how to operate a sewing machine*

Craving

These... sigh...

For the 12th day of Christmas

J was viewing the blog the other day and pointed out that I'm saying a lot of I want this and that and this.. etc.. and he reminded me (in his oh so loving way) that there is more to Christmas than presents. In reality presents are wonderful things.. but that's just it.. presents are just things... There are more important things in this world then expensive presents. So for the last day of Christmas these are a few meaningful things that this whole entire world could use this holiday season...

For the 6th day of Christmas

6 of my favorite skin care/make up products...

1. Boscia Williow Bark Breakout Treatment... I swear the bottle lasted forever and it totally works!
2-5. I am a Freshaholic... love the company... love the products... wish the prices were a little cheaper. My favorites... Sugar face polish (leaves the skin looking all glowy and amazing) Sugar Body Wash.. LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell of this.. I could just sniff it all day long. Supernova mascara .. and the new Firebird mascara.. which I have a tiny tiny sample of and I love the combination of them both. I need a big tube of this stuff!!

6. I don't buy NARS eyeshadows often because they are a little on the expensive side.. but when I do I never regret it. There are so many pretty colors to choose from. I couldn't change the colors on this picture to show you my fave.

For the 5th day of Christmas

5 pairs of Christian Louboutin's.... I could have easily put this on the 12th day because it's that hard to choose some of my favorites.... I wouldn't even care if I could walk in them.. I just want to be able to stare at them in my closet.

For the 4th Day of Christmas

I'd love 4 new beds... one for each bedroom in the house....

This adorable Savannah daybed for our tiniest bedroom..... does anyone else agree you could put a day bed in front of a window and make it all sorts of cute and dreamy??

I'm really starting to love upholstered headboards/beds... this one for another guest bedroom...

I have fallen head over heels for the bottom two beds... the first is the Farmhouse bed from Pottery Barn... the 2nd is the Collette bed from Crate & Barrel... I'd love either one in our master and the other in a guest bedroom.

For the 3rd day of Christmas...

As I've been searching blogland for ideas for the house I keep seeing these fabulous posters/screen prints of various cities by Ork Posters. I personally love the Seattle and Boston screen prints since I have lived in both places. I picked NYC only because there is no Philly (at least not yet).. and it's always fun to visit NYC.

And with prices ranging from $22-$27.. how could you not love them?!

For the 1st day of Christmas....

I'd like this ring please....

Now don't get all excited that J and I are anywhere near getting engaged...but the moment I saw this ring I fell in love. I love the matching band too (2 of them please!!). I even went looking for a picture of it on some lucky girl's hand just to verify it's awesomenss. It's the Tiffany Novo Ring.. and one day I hope it will be mine ... hint hint hint..

Favorite Christmas Things

So I've been doing a little reminiscing as I've been unwrapping my Christmas things (that I pretty much haven't seen in 3 years due to traveling and then the whole new house fiasco last year). I figured I'd show you all some of my favorite/most meaningful things that I've rediscovered over the last few days.

The first three pictures are things that belonged to my Mom-Mom... that I just adore having since they remind me of her whenever I see them:
A set of musical Angels that turn around as they play

A beautiful shimmery butterfly that is clipped to my tree A ceramic Christmas tree with colorful birds sitting on it's "leaves"

The next three things are gifts from my mother over the years:

A small Xmas tree that sits in a beautiful yellow and white bowl that I hang tiny kitchen utensil ornaments from.
A gold ball that plays Silent Night when you pull the string. Ames and I used to fight over who got to put this on the tree and pull the string. Silver Sleigh Bells. M probably is the smartest mom ever. For each Xmas for about 25 years (starting the year we were born) she gave Ames and I silver bells on the day we would trim the tree. Ames got silver bells (you know normal looking bells) and I got silver sleigh bells. One was lost in a tree somewhere over the years.. but I have all of the rest. Most of them are hanging on our tree, some are on a small tree in the dining room. One year I'm going to get red ribbon and tie some from the chandelier in the dining room. She stopped giving them to us because she figured we had more than enough. Random Ornaments:

A ballerina that someone gave me when I was a "ballerina"

The perfect word for this time of year:
A perfect Icicle

A picture of me on Santa's lap at the mall... Age 4ish? Sorry it's fuzzy.. it's an old pic (plus really I'm not at my cutest)The "friendship" silver ball S and I both got (along with the star too!) at Crate & Barrel this year So that's my little trip down memory lane .... anyone else have a favorite Christmas decoration item?

And if it would only stay cold....

I could make these awesome ice wreath.. candle holder/decoration....
